A storybook season for West Chester Baseball didn’t win a Championship.

Nevertheless,  it was a season to savor.

Two years after Misorachordia won the Division III Baseball Championship in 2024 , West Chester forced a Game 3 in the 2026 Division II Baseball Championship against reigning champions Tampa.

The win was the University of Tampa’s third in a row — and league-leading eleven in total. Wester Chester (50–9) had a truly impressive 2026 season, including an 11–2 win against Jefferson in the Bill Giles Championship and a five-game sweep in the NCAA Regionals.

West Chester also boasted an initial three wins in the DII National Championship.

Against reigning champions Tampa ,  the Golden Rams fell in Game 1 by a score of 7–4 in extra innings. They rebounded in Game Two by a final score of 12–3 , only to fall on Saturday by a final score of 8–4.

After being down 7–1 after six innings,  the Golden Rams’ rally began with a Donati leadoff home run.

A Carter Rust RBI was as close as West Chester would come — ending the game with a fly-out in the 9th inning.

The final score was 8–4 Tampa.

It was a heartbreaking loss for one of the finest seasons in West Chester Baseball Program history.
