A visual spotlighting the Oni Brigade has been unveiled for the upcoming TOUGEN ANKI: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc, along with eight additional voice cast members. The sequel of the TOUGEN ANKI anime will premiere in Japan in October 2026.

The new voice cast who will be voicing members of the Oni Brigade include:

Ato Nonaka (Fate/Zero Episode 12 storyboard artist and director, Fate/Zero Episode 7 director) is directing TOUGEN ANKI: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc, with Hiroyuki Hashimoto (Is the Order a Rabbit? director) as assistant director, Yukie Sugawara (Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again) as series composer, Ryoko Amisaki (Kino’s Journey -the Beautiful World- the Animated Series) as character designer, and KOHTA YAMAMOTO (Attack on Titan Final Season co-music composer) as music composer. Studio HIBARI is in charge of the animation production.
The anime sequel was first announced in December 2025 alongside a teaser visual. The anime first aired in July 2025 and was released into two cours, with the second cour airing in October 2025. REMOW licensed the anime for streaming on various platforms, including Crunchyroll. It is also streaming on Netflix and Prime Video in select countries and territories worldwide.
TOUGEN ANKI is based on the dark fantasy action manga by Yura Urushibara, which began serialization in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion magazine on June 11, 2020. Twenty-nine tankobon volumes have been published in Japan as of April 2026, with a 30th volume scheduled to be released on July 8, 2026.

Yen Press licensed the manga series for English release under the title Tougen Anki: Legend of the Cursed Blood, describing the main synopsis of the first volume as:
Shiki Ichinose’s blood is Oni, and his father’s is Momotarou. Normally, those with Momotarou blood hunt the Oni—but Shiki’s father refused to kill him as an infant. Instead, he adopted Shiki and raised him despite the rebellious attitude and dangerous temper that come with Oni blood. When a member of the Momotarou Agency kills Shiki’s father, Shiki vows to avenge him. But as he hones his abilities and learns to control his Oni blood, will he be strong enough to survive the dangers waiting for him…?
