The first trailer and main voice cast have been revealed for the upcoming ELECEED TV anime series. The anime is scheduled to begin broadcasting sometime in early 2027 after a delay from its initial 2026 debut.
The five main voice cast members, whose character names were announced in the trailer, include:
- • Junya Enoki as Yu Kazahaya/Jiwoo Seo
- • Tasuku Hatanaka as Jin Tatsuoka
- • Setsuji Sato as Dr. Delein
- • Hayato Dojima as Sota Yanagi
- • Shizuka Ito as Amane Yanagi

A voice actor for another one of the series’ main characters, Kayden, has not been announced, as of the time of writing.
Hiroshi Nishikiori (Honey Lemon Soda, Argonavis from Bang Dream!, A Certain Magical Index) is directing the anime series, with Minami Sakura as character designer, Yosuke Kuroda (My Hero Academia series composer) as scriptwriter and series composer, and Miyuki Wakai as assistant director. DandeLion Animation Studio is in charge of the animation production.
The anime adaptation is based on the manhwa webtoon series by Jeho Son (writer and creator) and ZHENA (artist). The first chapter of the webtoon was released in Korea on Naver Webtoon in October 2018. It has been published digitally in English on the WEBTOON service since March 2019. Penguin Random House’s Inklore imprint will release the webtoon in English print in January 2027.

WEBTOON describes the main synopsis of the ELECEED manhwa as:
Jiwoo is a kind-hearted young man who harnesses the lightning quick reflexes of a cat to secretly make the world a better place – one saved little child or foster pet at a time. Kayden is a secret agent on the run, who finds himself stuck in the body of a…um…decidedly fat old fluffy cat. Together, armed with Jiwoo’s super powers and Kayden’s uber-smarts, they’re out to fight those forces who would let evil rule this world. That is, if they can stand each other long enough to get the job done.
