Warner Bros. has released a new series of character posters for The End of Oak Street, giving each member of the Platt family their own one-sheet ahead of the film’s August release.
The new posters spotlight Anne Hathaway, Ewan McGregor, Maisy Stella, and Christian Convery, each facing off against the prehistoric horrors waiting beyond their suburban neighborhood. Hathaway’s poster finds her gripping a rifle as a massive dinosaur lurks just outside the porch. McGregor looks ready for battle with a shovel in hand. Stella and Convery are each caught in moments of pure panic as dinosaurs loom in the background.
Then there’s Starbuck.
Yes, the family’s dog got his own character poster, and it’s easily the best one of the bunch.
Unlike the humans, who all look like they’re one bad decision away from becoming dinosaur food, Starbuck stands proudly in the foreground while a pterosaur glides through the sky behind him. It’s less of a survival poster and more of a hero shot. Warner Bros. clearly knew audiences would immediately become invested in the family dog, so why not give him the spotlight?
In The End of Oak Street, “After a mysterious cosmic event, the Platt family finds themselves stranded in a prehistoric landscape filled with dinosaurs and forced to fight for survival while searching for a way home.”
Written and directed by David Robert Mitchell (It Follows, Under the Silver Lake) and produced by J.J. Abrams, The End of Oak Street also stars Jordan Alexa Davis, P.J. Byrne, and Chris Coy.
The End of Oak Street stomps into theaters and IMAX on August 14.
