Fuji TV announced today that the Thunder 3 anime series will have a screening panel for its North American premiere at this year’s Anime Expo, with some of the show’s production staff in attendance.
The panel is titled “Thunder 3” Premiere Panel with Production Staff and will take place at 3:15 PM PST on July 4, 2026 in Room 408AB of the Los Angeles Convention Center. The first two episodes of Thunder 3 will be screened early, ahead of its Netflix streaming debut on July 8, 2026. There will also be “exclusive reveals and surprise announcements” that will only be announced at Anime Expo.

Hiroyuki Seshita (Ajin: Demin-Human chief director, Blame! and KamiErabi GOD.app director) will be present at the panel and has been revealed as the director of Thunder 3. Joining him will be Hiroshi Seko (Witch Hat Atelier, Rooster Fighter), who is serving as the series composer for the anime. UNEDN is the animation production company for the series, which is led by Seshita.
Every attendee at the panel will receive a limited-edition Thunder 3 Japanese fan, with additional special giveaways also being planned.
Yuki Ikeda’s manga series ran in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine from May 6, 2022 to June 5, 2026. Eight tankobon volumes have been published in Japan as of January 2025, with a ninth volume set to be released on June 16, 2026.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast include:

Kodansha USA licensed the manga for English print and digital release, describing the main synopsis as:
Pyontaro is a middle schooler whose little sister, Futaba, simply adores him. One day, he and his buddies—the so-called “Small Three”—decide to watch a weird disc their teacher lent them. Little do the boys realize this disc is linked to another universe…and while they aren’t looking, Futaba gets sucked in! Can Pyontaro and his friends find Futaba? And just what is this other world they’ve discovered?!
