The Eternal Fool’s Words of Wisdom: A Pawsitively Fantastic Adventure TV anime has gotten a teaser trailer and a January 2027 release window. Its cast and staff were also revealed.
Among the staff is Keisuke Onishi (The Healer Who Was Banished From His Party, Is, in Fact, the Strongest), who is directing the Studio Elle production with Yumiko Mizuno (The Healer Who Was Banished From His Party, Is, in Fact, the Strongest) as character designer and Kurasumi Sunayama (The Healer Who Was Banished From His Party, Is, in Fact, the Strongest) as series composer. On the cast side, Toshiyuki Toyonaga and Yoko Hikasa are respectively voicing Asley and Pochi.
The Eternal Fool’s Words of Wisdom: A Pawsitively Fantastic Adventure is based on the light novel series written by Hifumi and illustrated by Kurihito Muto. The anime’s synopsis reads:
Through the accidental creation of a divine elixir known as “Eternity Elixir,” Asley gains an immortal body, free from the passage of time.
With more time than he could ever need, he devotes himself entirely to research—spending 5,000 years mastering countless spells and magical arts. In doing so, he becomes an extraordinary mage capable of wielding long-lost ancient magic.
Setting out to broaden his horizons, Asley embarks on a journey alongside his loyal familiar, Pochi. But his quiet, wandering life takes a dramatic turn after a single act of kindness.
Thus begins a wildly offbeat youth fantasy that transcends the ages—
the story of a 5,000-year-old young man and his 800-year-old canine companion.
They’re the strongest around… yet somehow always a little out of sync.
A timeless, slapstick fantasy adventure begins now!
The light novel series, which is published under the Earth Star Novel label, debuted in 2015 and ended in 2019 with 14 volumes. There is a Fuh Araki-drawn manga available in English from J-Novel Club.
