A collaboration visual has been unveiled for the Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 3199 anime and Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn.
The visual was drawn by illustrator Kia Asamiya (Silent Mobius original manga creator), who has created several visuals for the Space Battleship Yamato 3199 theatrical anime remake project.

The first three minutes of Aoi Meikyu were also posted on Bandai Namco Filmworks’ official YouTube channel.
Naomichi Yamato (Macross Delta: Zettai Live!!!!!! assistant director) is directing the Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 3199 anime, with Harutoshi Fukui (Space Battleship Yamato 2205, Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202) as series composer, co-scriptwriter, and chief director. Studio Mother is in charge of the animation production, with Satelight providing production assistance.
The sixth chapter, Aoi Meikyu, was recently released in Japanese theaters on June 26, 2026. The upcoming seventh and final chapter, Nijiiro no Rinne, will premiere in Japan on October 30, 2026. The overall series will have 26 total episodes split into seven chapters for theatrical screening in Japan.

Space Battleship Yamato 3199 serves as the sequel project to the Uchu Senkan Yamato 2205: Aratanaru Tabidachi – Kosho -STASHA- anime film, which was released in Japan in February 2022. The remake anime began with the 2012-2013 Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199.
Crunchyroll is streaming the episodic version of the theatrical anime series under the title Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 3199 in select territories. Eighteen episodes are available for streaming on the service so far. It describes the main premise as:
In 2207, two years after Gamilas and Iscandar vanished, a colossal object, the “Grand Reverse” appears, effortlessly breaching Earth’s defenses. Harutoshi Fukui also wrote the original Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn novel series, which were published in Japan between February 2007 to August 2009.
The novel series inspired a manga adaptation in January 2010 that was serialized until December 2016, as well as a prequel manga that was released between September 2017 to September 2018. Kozo Omori drew both manga series.
A seven-episode OVA series was produced by Sunrise from March 2010 to June 2014. It was re-edited into a 22-episode TV anime series in 2016 under the title Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn RE:0096.
