A TV anime adaptation of The Bugle Call: Song of War manga has been announced with a 2027 broadcast start window, a teaser visual, and a nearly four-minute-long teaser trailer. The anime’s director is Shinya Watada (Rock Is A Lady’s Modesty, Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE), who is directing at Cyberagent’s recently established CA Soa.
The synopsis reads:
That boy could see sound.
Luca, a boy with branches sprouting from his head, serves as a bugler in a mercenary company that thrives on war. Though surrounded by conflict, he dreams of becoming a musician.
One day, amid the chaos of battle, a mysterious power awakens within him. His journey soon brings him into contact with the Pontiff, who stands at the pinnacle of the nation; Zoe, a fellow Branch-Born; and many others whose lives are intertwined with his own.
Through these encounters, Luca’s destiny begins to change in ways he could never have imagined.
Arboral Year 1294—a battle that will determine the future is about to begin.

The Bugle Call: Song of War (Senso Kyoshitsu) manga is written by Mozuku Sora and drawn by Higoro Toumori. The shonen title began serialization in Shueisha’s Jump Square in 2022 and has 14 volumes as of June 2026. Viz Media has it in English.
