PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — This week on Shelter Me, we introduce you to Ginger from Harley’s Haven Dog Rescue in Perkasie, Pa.

Ginger is a 6-month-old purebred German Shepherd puppy.

She survived a heartbreaking neglect case involving 93 animals and is still discovering just how good life can be.

Every day, she grows a little braver and more confident, and a little more ready for the loving family she’s been dreaming about.
