MANTUA TWP., N.J. (WPVI) — A serious multi-vehicle crash shut down the southbound lanes of Route 55 on Monday night in Gloucester County.
The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. at Exit 53 in Mantua Township.
Chopper 6 was over the scene, where a white truck could be seen heavily damaged.
The injuries are said to be serious, but county officials have not provided further details.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Drivers should plan to take alternate routes as crews work to clear the scene.
