Man mowing lawn among 4 hurt in Southwest Philadelphia shooting

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Four people were injured in a shooting on Monday night in Southwest Philadelphia.

The shooting happened around 8:15 p.m. at the James Finnegan Playground in the 2700 block of South 68th Street.

Police say an 18-year-old man, a 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old man were shot on the basketball court.

Two of them were taken to the hospital by responding officers, while another arrived by private vehicle.

All are in stable condition.

The fourth victim, a man mowing his lawn nearby, was grazed by the gunfire.

Eight to 10 spent shell casings were found, police say. Three guns were found in a vehicle and a fourth was found on a curb.

Three persons of interest are in custody.
