A special collaboration visual has been revealed for the Liar Game and Junket Bank anime series, featuring the respective male leads of both shows.
The visual showcases Liar Game’s Shinichi Akiyama and Junket Bank’s Shin Mafutsu. Both series share the theme of high-stakes gambling.

Liar Game first premiered in Japan on April 6, 2026 and will air for two consecutive cours. REMOW licensed the series for global streaming last August.
Yuzo Sato (The Gene of AI director) is serving as chief director for the anime series, with Asami Kawano (The Vampire Dies In No Time assistant director) as director, Tatsuhiko Urahata (Baki Hanma) as series composer and screenwriter, Kei Tsuchiya (Trillion Game) as character designer, and Kisuke Koizumi (Trillion Game, My Happy Marriage) as sound director. Madhouse is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s voice cast stars:

The suspense manga series by Shinobu Kaitani was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine from February 17, 2005 to January 22, 2015. A total of 19 tankobon volumes were published in Japan. Another short manga series by Kaitani was launched in February 2026.

The manga also inspired a Japanese live-action TV drama, a Korean live-action TV drama, a live-action film, and a stage play.

The Junket Bank TV anime adaptation is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan in October 2026.
Seiji Kishi (Blue Orchestra, Angel Beats!, Tsuki ga Kirei) is directing the anime series, with Makoto Fukami (Tengoku Daimakyo) as series composer, Masanori Shino (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: STONE OCEAN, No Guns Life) as character designer, and Taku Iwasaki (The Irregular at Magic High School) as music composer. CUE is in charge of the animation production.
The anime’s main voice cast will star Soma Saito as Shin Mafutsu and Rikuya Yasuda as Akira Mitarai.

The gambling-themed manga series by Ikko Tanaka began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump seinen magazine on July 30, 2020. Twenty-one tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of March 2026, with a 22nd volume set to be released on July 17, 2026.
The manga centers on a young man named Akira, a new bank employee, who becomes involved with gambling after he’s led to an underground location beneath his workplace.
