Steven Spielberg‘s divisive sci-fi film Disclosure Day will be fully disclosed on digital and VOD platforms on July 21st, 2026, Dread Central learned.
“Steven Spielberg returns to what he does best with Disclosure Day, a spellbinding adventure about faith, connection, and the wonders of the universe,” Matt Konopka writes in his review. “Yet another reminder that the filmmaker is still the king of summer blockbusters.”
The film stars Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer, A Quiet Place), Josh O’Connor (Challengers, The Crown), Colin Firth (The King’s Speech, Kingsman franchise), Eve Hewson (Bad Sisters, The Perfect Couple), and Colman Domingo (Sing Sing, Rustin).
The film centers on meteorologist Margaret Fairchild (Blunt); after suddenly developing the inexplicable ability to speak every language and knowing deep, personal secrets about strangers, she and cybersecurity expert Daniel (O’Connor) race to uncover a decades-long alien cover-up while evading an elusive government operative, Noah (Firth).
If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? This summer, the truth belongs to eight billion people. We are coming close to … Disclosure Day.
