The Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle TV anime’s second cour is set to begin airing this October. A trailer for the new cour, featuring protagonist Saku Chitose (Shogo Sakata) and Asuka Nishino (Chika Anzai), was released with the announcement.
Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle adapts the light novel series written by Hiromu and illustrated by raemz. Yen Press describes the first volume’s synopsis as such:
Being popular isn’t easy. It’s hard to beat Saku Chitose. The most popular kid in his high school? Check. An ironclad reputation that can weather even vicious online attacks? Check. A group of friends as attractive on the outside as they are inside? Check. But when a teacher asks for his help bringing back a student who has been shut away in his room for months, Saku’s perfect world will never be the same. What is this, some kind of normie harem story…?
Yuji Tokuno (storyboard artist and episode director for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 20, OSHI NO KO Episode 10, YAIBA: Samurai Legend Episode 6) is the anime’s director. Other staff include series composer and scriptwriter Naruhisa Arakawa (More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers), scriptwriter Hiromu, and character designer Sumie Kinoshita (Spy Classroom). feel. is the animation production studio.
The first cour of the teen drama debuted on October 7, 2025, and experienced a delay midway due to “production circumstances.” The delay caused Episode 6 to air on December 2 instead of November 11, and Episodes 11 to 13 were pushed to late March 2026.
The Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle light novel series, which is published under Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko label, began in 2019 and has nine main volumes as of August 2024. There is a manga adaptation drawn by Bobkya and published by Square Enix.
