A teaser trailer has been released for Beast King Unchained: Dandevine (Juomujin Dandivine), the upcoming robot anime from Good Smile Company‘s new God of Combined Series (Gatta-Sshin Series). The preview features the main mechs and human characters of the show.
Beast King Unchained: Dandivine will begin airing in October. The premise sees high schooler Gekiha Shijima becoming the pilot of the titular Dandivine, once piloted by his uncle, when an enemy called the Apostle resurfaces after 20 years. The Apostle’s reappearance coincides with a toy maker president’s wish for Dandivine to jump back into action even if peace has to be sacrificed, due to his company’s dwindling fortunes after former success with Dandivine products.
LIDENFILMS and Kayac Animation are co-producing the anime with Cao Yi as director. Other staff include Toshiki Inoue (Death Note) as series composer, illustrator Maziro as original character designer, robin as character designer, and GOD BRAVE STUDIO’s An as mechanical designer.
The cast includes Takuma Terajima as Gekiha, Haruka Shiraishi as Akane Kuzumi, and Saya Aizawa as Kirei Shijima.
A Juobushin Dandivine transformable toy and a MODEROID kit went up for pre-order on June 12. A manga with art by TOGUCHI was also announced
