A trailer for the upcoming Attack on Titan 3, previewing gameplay set during the earlier parts of the Attack on Titan narrative and story moments from Attack on Titan Final Season, has revealed the game’s winter release window. 

It was also announced that Attack on Titan 3‘s opening animation, which will be released in an update instead of being available at launch, will be produced by MAPPA with Arifumi Imai (Ranking of Kings assistant director) as director. Imai was an action animation director and animator for the WIT STUDIO era Attack on Titan anime, known for moments like the Levi and Kenny chase sequence, and contributed storyboards and key animation to Attack on Titan: The Final Season – The Final Chapters Special 2.

Aside from the trailer, Attack on Titan 3 received a Features & Gameplay presentation video, covering aspects like the new Casual Mode and tweaks to the combat gameplay experience.

Attack on Titan 3 will launch on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam sometime in the future, with the Steam version being digital-only. Like 2016’s Attack on Titan/A.O.T. Wings of Freedom and 2018’s Attack on Titan 2 Final Battle, KOEI TECMO’s Omega Force division is developing the game.

The video description for Attack on Titan 3‘s announcement trailer described the game as “the riveting culmination of the action game series, depicting the story of Attack on Titan from its Survey Corps beginnings to its dramatic conclusion. Fans can ready their blades for combat against the Nine Titans for the very first time, while learning more about the characters and lore through brand-new story content.”
