Anirudh Pisharody Set to Star in Greek Mythology Thriller ‘Chronos’

Here’s a weird one for you this afternoon. Deadline reports that Anirudh Pisharody (pictured above in “Never Have I Ever”) has wrapped a lead role in Chronos, described as an “indie thriller” with a pretty curious premise.

The film “follows a father who, when his family disappears on a Greek beach, is lured by an ancient device to a hidden island trial. Partnered with a fallen god of time and hunted by the goddess of fate, he must reach Olympus before the gods erase the people he loves.”

Tongayi Chirisa (“Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches”), Eleni Sotiropoulou, and Lisa Morrell also star.

I say weird because, well, that premise just sounds wild, doesn’t it? Probably not horror, but hunted on an island by a goddess, facing who knows what other creatures from Greek mythology…Chronos could be a project worth keeping an eye on if you’re like me and excited out of your mind for another Greek myth adaptation, Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.

Gianinni Semedo Moreira directed the film.

Producers are Samantha Gao and Moreira.

Chronos was shot in Greece.
