The latest trailer has been released for the upcoming Reborn as a Space Mercenary: I Woke Up Piloting the Strongest Starship! TV anime series, showcasing the show’s main ending theme song. The anime will premiere in Japan in October 2026 and Crunchyroll will stream the series in select countries and territories worldwide.
The recently announced ending theme is “MY WAY” by Japanese rock band ASTERISM, which is highlighted in the new trailer. Additionally, the anime’s opening theme will be “UNSTOPPABLE” by FLOW .
Norihiko Nagahama (The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army Was a Human) is directing the anime series, with Takamitsu Kono (The Beginning After the End Seasons 1-2)as series composer and Masami Sueoka (The Beginning After the End, The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army was a Human) as character designer. Studio A-CAT is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast will star:

- • Konomi Inagaki as Mimi
- • Anna Nagase as Elma
- • Haruka Shiraishi as Serena
The sci-fi isekai light novel series is written by Ryuto and illustrated by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima. It was first published under the Kadokawa Books imprint on July 10, 2019 and has released 17 volumes in Japan as of May 2026. The series was previously a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel that began serialization in February 2019. Its Japanese title is Mezametara Saikyo Sobi to Uchusenmochi datta node, Ikkodate Meashite Yohei toshite Jiyu ni Ikitai in Japanese.
The light novels have also inspired a manga adaptation drawn by Shunichi Matsui.
