It’s been almost four years since Zach Cregger made his genre debut with the surprise hit Barbarian.

In that time, Cregger has gone from strength-to-strength with horror output.

However, one thing about Barbarian has continued to bother Cregger over the years. Despite its phenomenal success at the box-office, and record-breaking streaming numbers, Barbarian was never released on physical media.

Over the past four years, Cregger has been vocal about his wish to remedy this, saying:
“I have banged the drum, made phone calls, and tried my best to get some sort of physical media. I’m not making headway, and it kind of bums me out.”

Well now, Cregger’s persistence has paid off, as Barbarian is set to make its disc debut!

Reliable sources are reporting that Barbarian will hit physical media on August 11th 2026.

The film will debut on both standard blu-ray and a 4K UHD steelbook set, which will feature brand-new artwork from Creepy Duck Design.

So, dreams can come true!
