A new King of Prism anime film has been announced to be in production and will be titled King of Prism -Tri-Star Act- . It will be set during the PRISM.3, which will focus on trio-based competition. A premiere date for the film has not been confirmed, as of the time of writing.
An announcement video (listed above) and teaser visual, drawn by character designer Mai Matsuura (Let’s Go Karaoke, Captivated, by You), have also been unveiled.

Masakazu Hishida (returning) is serving as the chief director of King of Prism-Tri-Star Act- and is writing the script under his pen name Jo Aoba. Other returning staff include Matsuura as character designer, Yoshihiro Otobe (Pole Princess!!, Muteking the Dancing Hero) as CG director, and Rei Ishizuka (Shabake) as music composer. Tatsunoko Production is once again in charge of the animation production.
King of Prism-Tri-Star Act- is the latest entry in the King of Prism theatrical anime series. The first anime was 2016’s King of Prism by Pretty Rhythm, which was followed by 2017’s King of Prism Pride the Hero, 2019’s King of Prism -Shiny Seven Stars, 2020’s King of Prism All Stars: Prism Show Best 10 compilation film, 2024’s King of Prism: Dramatic Prism.1, and 2025’s King of Prism -Your Endless Call- Minna Kirameke! Prism☆Tours.
The King of Prism franchise is a spin-off of the Pretty Rhythm: Rainbow Live mixed-media project, which in turn is part of the larger Pretty Rhythm and Pretty Series franchise.

Aside from the anime entries, the franchise has also inspired several manga, novels, stage plays, and a now-defunct mobile game. A browser game titled King of Prism: Sparking was released on G123.
