{"id":35957,"date":"2026-07-13T16:12:42","date_gmt":"2026-07-13T20:12:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/design-providers.com\/rise\/crystal-lake-brings-viewers-back-to-camp-with-teaser-trailer\/"},"modified":"2026-07-13T16:12:42","modified_gmt":"2026-07-13T20:12:42","slug":"crystal-lake-brings-viewers-back-to-camp-with-teaser-trailer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/design-providers.com\/rise\/crystal-lake-brings-viewers-back-to-camp-with-teaser-trailer\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Crystal Lake&#8217; Brings Viewers Back to Camp with Teaser Trailer!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Break out the campfire songs, because A24 and Peacock just dropped the first teaser trailer through <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/crystal-lake-first-look-linda-cardellini-pam-voorhees-friday-the-13th-prequel-exclusive-12016005\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/crystal-lake-first-look-linda-cardellini-pam-voorhees-friday-the-13th-prequel-exclusive-12016005\">EW<\/a> for the <em><strong>Friday the 13th<\/strong><\/em> prequel series, <strong><em>Crystal Lake<\/em><\/strong>, and it\u2019s giving off pure, atmospheric slasher vibes! <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the trailer, we\u2019re submerged in a Camp Crystal Lake drenched in rolling fog, dead bodies, a creepy camp song, and star <strong>Linda Cardellini<\/strong> (playing Pamela Voorhees), dropping a \u201cmommy\u2019s here\u201d line. I have chills. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Along with the trailer, EW also debuted a handful of new, first-look photos of Cardellini as the mother to end all mothers. Give them a look along with the trailer below. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Based on the slasher series begun by Sean S. Cunningham in 1980,\u00a0the eight-episode, 70s-set series\u00a0follows a doomed small town where camp counselors come to die. It tells the origins of the Voorhees family and leads up to the \u201cbirth\u201d of the ultimate slasher: Jason.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Brad Caleb Kane<\/strong> (<em>IT: Welcome to Derry<\/em>) is serving as showrunner. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Said Kane to EW on the Pamela character, a major piece of the <em>Friday<\/em> puzzle who has yet to be fully explored: \u201c<strong>We wanted to dive into Pam\u2019s psychology. We wanted to see her unraveling after [watching] the events of the movie that everybody knows. We wanted to see her relationship with Jason and what his death kicks off in her \u2014 her trying to find some sort of equilibrium in her life after the thing that ostensibly she lives for, her son, was taken away from her, and how all the people around her and the circumstances surrounding her make that impossible to do. So it\u2019s really a character piece<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Added Kane, \u201c<strong>As a fan, I\u2019m trying to give fans \u2014 and particularly grown-up fans \u2014 the show that they would wanna see now<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Based on what we\u2019re seeing so far, there\u2019s every chance that Kane accomplished just that. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier this year, Peacock shared the\u00a0first teaser photos from\u00a0<em>Crystal Lake<\/em>, which also stars earlier versions of characters from the original film, such as Crazy Ralph (<strong>Nick Cordileone<\/strong>), Claudette (<strong>Danielle Kotch<\/strong>), and Barry (<strong>Phoenix Parnevik<\/strong>), along with new characters connected to the town\u2019s history. <strong>Callum Vinson<\/strong> plays a young Jason Voorhees. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Crystal Lake<\/strong><\/em> will slash onto Peacock on\u00a0<strong>October 15, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees on \u2018Crystal Lake\u2019.
