Howell<\/span>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Prime Video<\/strong> has provided Dread Central with even more first-look images from its upcoming Original series <em><strong>Carrie<\/strong><\/em>, its bold new adaptation of <strong>Stephen King\u2019s<\/strong> iconic debut novel from showrunner <strong>Mike Flanagan<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They also provided official new details:<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Premiering this fall, the eight-episode series reimagines the classic coming-of-age horror story for television for the first time. It follows misfit teenager Carrie White (<strong>Summer Howell<\/strong>), whose sheltered life is upended after the death of her father forces her into public high school. As she endures a viral bullying scandal, the pressures of social media, and the cruelty of her classmates, Carrie begins to awaken mysterious telekinetic powers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Summer Howell stars as Carrie White after beating out more than 1,000 actors for the role. The cast also includes <strong>Samantha Sloyan<\/strong> as Margaret White, <strong>Siena Agudong<\/strong> as Sue Snell, <strong>Alison Thornton<\/strong> as Chris Hargensen, <strong>Joel Oulette<\/strong> as Tommy Ross, <strong>Josie Tota<\/strong> as Tina, <strong>Arthur Conti<\/strong> as Billy, <strong>Thalia Dudek<\/strong> as Emaline, <strong>Amber Midthunder<\/strong> as Miss Desjardin, and <strong>Matthew Lillard<\/strong> as Principal Grayle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Flanagan writes and executive produces the series, while also directing four episodes. Stephen King serves as an executive producer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First published in 1974, <em>Carrie<\/em> launched King\u2019s career and has sold more than 350 million books worldwide across his body of work. Brian De Palma\u2019s landmark 1976 film adaptation became an Academy Award-nominated classic, with 2026 marking its 50th anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>Summer H.
