At least four microbursts were confirmed in Philadelphia and parts of southern Montgomery County. While a microburst is not a tornado, it can be just as dangerous, producing destructive straight-line winds exceeding 100 mph \u2014 comparable to the winds of an EF1 tornado.\n<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Parker <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/phillymayor\/status\/2076318509651419290?s=46\">thanked first responders and workers<\/a> who helped protect residents and begin recovery.\n  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur work is far from over,\u201d Parker said. \u201cCity crews will continue working around the clock to clear hazards, restore services, assess damage, and support every affected neighborhood\u2026 And please, check on your neighbors, especially seniors, people with disabilities, and anyone who may need a helping hand.
