Curled leaves and sodden bark

\nA mass of seaweed ripped to shreds
\nA hundred empty bottles
\nA crushed and faded can
\nAn iron lung, a diving mask
\nThe crutches of a tired man<\/p>\n
A chain that weighs too heavy
\nA house one carries on their back
\nA retreating guarded crab
\nA limpet, a shark preparing for attack
\nA rubber ring, a steel anchor
\nA porthole frame, a torn off screw
\nBrown clouds of sand in shallow water
\nThe melancholy eyes of ocean blue<\/p>\n
Buttons, fabric, laces and shoes
\nA wily darting electric eel
\nThe churn of ancient machinery
\nA planet fighting to heal
\nAn empty clamshell, a vacant cradle
\nThe poison of secret release
\nA tumult of swollen waves to break
\nA set reduced to the final piece<\/p>\n
