The\u00a0Witch on the Holy Night<\/em> anime movie is scheduled to begin screening on November 20. The date was revealed through an announcement trailer that also provides a slight voice preview, but is lacking in new footage.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Witch on the Holy Night\u00a0<\/em>(Mahotsukai no Yoru), announced back in 2021, is an adaptation of the visual novel by Type-Moon. Steam\u2019s story description for the game\u2019s 2023 HD remaster reads:<\/span><\/p>\n In the mansion on the hill, there lived two witches\u2026<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n It is the late 1980s\u2014the twilight of an era of beauty and vigor.<\/em><\/span> The boy leads a completely ordinary life.<\/em><\/span> Each walks a starlit path.<\/em><\/span> The cast of the ufotable<\/strong> production includes Haruka Tomatsu<\/strong> as Aoko Aozaki, Yusuke Kobayashi<\/strong> as Sojuro Shizuki, and\u00a0Kana Hanazawa<\/strong> as Alice Kuonji. All three starred in the\u00a0remaster.<\/span><\/p>\n The\u00a0Witch on the Holy Night\u00a0<\/em>visual novel was first released for PC in Japan in 2012. The fully voiced, full HD version was released for Nintendo Switch and PS4 in December 2022 and came to Steam in December 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n The character of Aoko Aozaki first appeared in the 2000 visual novel\u00a0Tsukihime\u00a0<\/em>(which takes place after\u00a0Witch on the Holy Night\u00a0and has received a remake of two of its routes) and has shown up in various otherType-Moon-related titles as well.
