PHILADELPHIA<\/strong> – <\/span>Scattered showers will linger on Monday after a round of overnight storms ended the 4th of July holiday weekend with a dazzling lightning show.\u00a0<\/p>\n What we know:<\/p>\n A damp and dreary Monday with bouts of showers and possible thunderstorms will kick off the post-Independence Day workweek in Philadelphia.\u00a0<\/p>\n Forecasters expect the greatest chance of scattered storms in Philadelphia between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. 4th of July revelers enjoying an extended weekend at the Jersey shore can expect to see showers in the morning that will diminish by nighttime.\u00a0<\/p>\n The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch that will expire on Monday night. Forecasters warn of localized flash flooding with rainfall rates of 1-2 inches.<\/p>\n The risk of rain will continue on Tuesday, but forecasters expect it to be mostly cloudy with highs barely breaking 80 degrees. Sunshine will reemerge by midweek as the region readies for another warmup.\u00a0<\/p>\n What’s next:<\/p>\n Temperatures will reach 87 degrees with sunshine on Thursday, and return to the 90s by
