A main trailer for GROTESQQQUE<\/em>, the upcoming anime anthology film from Atsushi Nishigori\u00a0<\/strong>(Darling in the Franxx\u00a0<\/em>director and co-series composer et al.,\u00a0The Idolmaster<\/em> director and character designer et al.) and CloverWorks<\/strong>, has been released. This first good look at the anthology\u2019s three visually distinct shorts includes a preview of the opening theme song \u201cShoot Shoot Shoot\u201d by METALVERSE<\/strong>, and reveals its November 6 release date in Japan.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n There also more details about the shorts. \u201cA(E)LIENS,\u201d\u00a0which features a bright and cheery aesthetic, will follow an alien girl called Elie, who comes to Earth as a goodwill ambassador. Elie looks for \u201cfriends\u201d while accompanied by the space bureau\u2019s Kento Kunihara, buter experience is complicated by distrust from the humans and the appearance of a hostile alien. Nishigori is directing this short, which stars Kana Ichinose<\/strong> and Gen Hoshino<\/strong>, with Masato Anno<\/strong> (Flying Witch<\/em>) as main character designer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cYOROSHIKU\u2605Girl\u201d features the neon-lit city of GALs TOKYO, where a group of girls with nowhere to go seek to become the victor, or \u201cQueen,\u201d of a game called Queen of Butterfly. The truant Stella dedicates herself to the game after hearing of an urban legend, and comes across an unknown girl with incredible strength. Takahiro Miura<\/strong> (Fate\/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works]<\/em>) is directing the short with character designs from tarou2<\/strong> and action direction from Isao Hayashi<\/a><\/strong>. The cast members are Sara Minami<\/strong>, Ikumi Hasegawa<\/strong>, Saori Hayami<\/strong>, Maaya Uchida<\/strong>, Chika Anzai, Miyu Tomita<\/strong>, Rumi Okubo<\/strong>, and Rie Kugimiya<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n Finally, \u201cNOCTURNE: NUIT GROTESQUE\u201d\u00a0<\/em>is a post-apocalyptic vampire tale about the pure-blooded vampire Ayame and three girls who survived by having their blood sucked by her. Nishigori is the director and character designer, while the cast comprises Nogizaka46 members Miku Ichinose<\/strong>,\u00a0Nagi Inoue<\/strong>, Nao Tomisato<\/strong>, and Aruno Nakanishi<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n All three shorts have color designs by Kazuko Nakajima<\/strong> (Wonder Egg Priority<\/em>, 7FATES: CHAKHO<\/em>\u00a0short film). Yuya Sakuma<\/strong> (7FATES: CHAKHO<\/em>\u00a0short film,\u00a0Bocchi the Rock!<\/em> live lighting director) is credited as compositing director for \u201cA(E)LIENS\u201d and \u201cNOCTURNE: NUIT GROTESQUE.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n GROTESQQQUE\u00a0<\/span><\/em>was supposed to make its debut in 2025 before a delay was announced last July. <\/span>Fantasia Film Festival 2026, which runs from July 16 to August 2, will host the anime\u2019s world premiere. The festival describes GROTESQQQUE <\/span><\/em>as such:<\/span><\/p>\n This electrifying film embodies Nishigori\u2019s ambition to create something he is passionate about, with as much passion as he wants.
