HIDIVE<\/span> and <\/span>NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan<\/span> have announced at Anime Expo 2026 that a TV anime adaptation of the <\/span>MURCI\u00c9LAGO<\/span> manga series will premiere in 2027.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a9Yoshimurakana\/SQUARE ENIX,MURCI\u00c9LAGO Project<\/span><\/p>\n A \u201csuper teaser trailer\u201d and key visual of the series have also been revealed. The video below may be region locked in some areas.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n A commemorative illustration by original manga creator <\/span>Kana Yoshimura was released alongside the trailer and visual to celebrate news of an adaptation.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a9 Yoshimurakana\/SQUARE ENIX<\/span><\/p>\n HIDIVE will stream the <\/span>MURCI\u00c9LAGO<\/span> anime series exclusively as part of its 2027 lineup and it will be available in the U.S. and Canada, as well as the U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Takashi Naoya (director of <\/span>Killed Again, Mr. Detective? <\/span>and <\/span>Ubel Blatt<\/span>) is serving as chief director and series composer for the anime series, with <\/span>Matsuo Asami (<\/span>Ubel Blatt <\/span>assistant director) as director, <\/span>Sei Tateishi as character designer, and <\/span>Masanori Akita and <\/span>Yuichi Tsuchiya as music composers. <\/span>Satelight and <\/span>Staple Entertainment are in charge of the animation production.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The yuri action manga wires was first serialized in Square Enix\u2019s Young Gangan magazine on August 16, 2013 and has released 28 tankobon volumes in Japan as of January 2026. A 29th volume will be published in the country on July 24, 2026.
