ALBURTIS, Pa. (WPVI) — <\/span>The Borough of Alburtis has declared a state of emergency after a powerful line of storms swept through Lehigh County, causing damage and power outages.<\/p>\n Strong winds toppled numerous trees and power lines, including along Fairchild Street in Alburtis.<\/p>\n Local officials are urging residents to avoid unnecessary travel, stay away from downed trees and power lines, and follow directions from emergency personnel.<\/p>\n PPL reported more than 7,000 customers without power Friday night as utility crews worked to restore service.<\/p>\n No injuries have been reported.<\/p>\n Officials said additional updates will be provided as damage assessments and restoration efforts continue.<\/p>\n Copyright \u00a9 2026 WPVI-TV.
