READING, Pa. (WPVI) — <\/span>As the world’s most famous arena is buzzing with excitement ahead of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, the couple is giving back.<\/p>\n On Thursday, they donated $26 million to charities across the United States.<\/p>\n As part of that donation, they gave $1 million to “Helping Harvest” in Reading, Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n In a statement<\/a>, the food bank said:<\/p>\n “We’re beyond grateful to announce a $1 million gift from Berks County’s own Taylor Swift and her fianc\u00e9, Travis Kelce to help fight hunger! <\/em><\/p>\n Taylor grew up right here in our service territory, and today, she and Travis are giving back to neighbors in her hometown and surrounding communities. At a time when more families than ever are turning to us for help, this gift will help us continue putting nutritious food on tables across Berks and Schuylkill counties. <\/em><\/p>\n As Taylor once sang, “long live all the mountains we moved.” Today, thanks to Taylor and Travis’ kindness, we moved one together. <\/em><\/p>\n Thank you for your generosity, Taylor and Travis, from the bottom of our hearts.”<\/em><\/p>\n The generous donation comes as the preparations for the couple’s wedding are underway in New York City.<\/p>\n Barriers went up Thursday around Madison Square Garden.<\/p>\n Canopies and tents are also being built, which will shield the couple and their guests as they arrive.<\/p>\n Sources tell ABC News that the first event of the wedding weekend will be Thursday at 6:00 p.m. with 100 guests expected.<\/p>\n The second event is Friday, with a cocktail hour starting at 4:00 p.m.<\/p>\n Around 1,000 guests are expected for that one.<\/p>\n Copyright \u00a9 2026 WPVI-TV.
