OceanVeil<\/span> announced on its Twitter\/X account that it has begun streaming the <\/span>Chainsmoker Cat<\/span> TV anime series on July 2, 2026. The company first licensed the anime for a simultaneous simulcast last week.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The service is streaming both an edited and unedited version of the series. The edited version of the show was made for broadcasting on Japanese television, while the unedited version has been released in Japan on AnimeFesta, AT-X, DMM TV, and Fuji TV on Demand, among other services.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Netflix also began streaming the unedited version of <\/span>Chainsmoker Cat<\/span> in select countries and territories worldwide on July 2, 2026, after announcing its license acquisition of the series last week.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Studio Lemon\u2019s <\/span>Taku Kimura (<\/span>Dragonite and the Special Delivery<\/span>) is directing the anime series, with <\/span>Takashi Aoshima (<\/span>The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You<\/span> series composer) as scriptwriter, <\/span>Riki Matsuura (<\/span>Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc Devil <\/span>designer) as character designer, and<\/span> Keiichi Suzuki as music composer. <\/span>Bibury Animation Studios is handling the animation production.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Other staff involved in the series include Atelier Musa\u2019s <\/span>Yukiko Maruyama (<\/span>My Hero Academia<\/span> co-background art director) and <\/span>Shotaro Yoshino as background art directors,<\/span> Yuiha Ota (<\/span>Witch Watch<\/span>) as color designer, and <\/span>Hisashi Yonezawa (<\/span>Witch Watch<\/span>) as compositing director.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Meanwhile, the anime\u2019s main voice cast stars:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The slice of life comedy manga by <\/span>Nyan Nyan Factory began serialization in Kodansha\u2019s Young Magazine on February 20, 2023 and has released 12 tankobon volumes as of May 2026.
