The opening animation for Noh-themed anime The World is Dancing<\/em> has been released on the SHOCHIKU anime YouTube channel. The show began airing on July 2.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Shuhei Fuchimoto<\/strong> (The World is Dancing <\/em>assistant director, Umamusume: Pretty Derby \u2013 Beginning of a New Era<\/em> co-unit director) storyboarded and unit directed the opening, which features the series\u2019 regular aesthetic along with a large amount of stylized visuals and animation, as well as credits rendered in the writing of calligrapher Satoshi Nemoto<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n The opening song is \u201cshusho\u201d by Macaroni Empitsu<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The World is Dancing<\/em> is an\u00a0adaptation of the manga by Kazuto Mihara<\/strong> that\u00a0is directed by\u00a0Toshimasa Kuroyanagi\u00a0<\/strong>(Backflip!! <\/em>and The Great Passage<\/em>, Umamusume: Pretty Derby \u2013 Beginning of a New Era<\/em> co-unit director) at\u00a0CyPic<\/strong>. The synopsis reads:<\/span><\/p>\n In 1374, amid the turmoil of the Northern and Southern Courts\u2019 long running\u00a0 conflict, a boy named Oniyasha is born into a family of sarugaku theater performers.\u00a0 He spends his days in a kind of quiet gloom, haunted by a simple but persistent\u00a0 question: Why do people dance? Then, one day, he witnesses a dance that he feels\u00a0to be \u201cgood\u201d\u2014and everything begins to change. This is the story of the beautiful\u00a0 young boy who would one day shape the art of Noh and be remembered as Zeami.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n The manga began serialization in Kodansha\u2019s seinen magazine Morning in March 2021 and released its sixth and final volume in November 2022.
