Made for a meagre $900,000, the film is currently sitting pretty with over $300 million at the box-office.<\/p>\n Barker is also currently busy on his second original feature Anything but Ghosts, expected next year.<\/p>\n On top of that, Barker was selected by Roy Lee and A24 to helm the highly-anticipated feature reboot of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.<\/p>\n So, what could Barker possibly fit in to his busy schedule next? Well, how about another original feature?<\/p>\n Official sources are reporting that Barker has signed a \u201crich\u201d deal, said to be eight figures, with Blumhouse, Atomic Monster, and Universal.<\/p>\n The deal is for an unspecified original horror movie that Barker has been gestating for some time. The lucrative deal was born purely from a \u201cdynamic\u201d pitch Barker delivered to the Universal studio heads.<\/p>\n Of his latest venture, Barker said in a statement: Producers Jason Blum and James Wan added: We\u2019re looking forward to seeing what Barker will cook up next.
