\n\tPosted on:<\/em> June 28th, 2026\n<\/p>\n Hot on the heels of Scream becoming a billion-dollar franchise, the parody series it kicked off has also achieved this phenomenal feat.<\/p>\n Following its third weekend box-office takings, the franchise\u2019s sixth entry has carried the Scary Movie series over the billion-dollar mark.<\/p>\n This, despite the sixth film receiving a critical lashing and its box-office falling off rapidly in the second weekend.<\/p>\n As it stands, Scary Movie has grossed $201.9 million worldwide, becoming the third most successful in the series.<\/p>\n Against a $30 million budget, this makes the film a profitable entity, particularly when compared to 2013\u2019s dud Scary Movie 5.<\/p>\n Given this return, it seems inevitable that the Wayans brothers will get to proceed with the sequel plans they have recently discussed.<\/p>\n What would be in store in a seventh Scary Movie?
