To let the thought go unbuttoned,\u00a0<\/p>\n leaned against a kitchen chair, talking about traffic\u00a0<\/p>\n or the way light hits the linoleum.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n But then\u2014I rhymed.\u00a0<\/p>\n By accident or reflex or loneliness.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n It was you that made me do it\u2014\u00a0<\/p>\n not out of guilt, but because the sentence curled\u00a0<\/p>\n toward music, and I didn\u2019t stop it.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n You rolled your eyes.
