Vozinha\u2019s World Cup moment<\/h2>\n

No player has come to symbolize Cape Verde\u2019s run more than goalkeeper Vozinha.<\/p>\n

The 40-year-old, whose full name is Josimar Jos\u00e9 \u00c9vora Dias, became one of the emotional faces of the tournament after his performance against Spain.<\/p>\n

Vozinha made seven saves in the scoreless draw and was named player of the match. After the game, he was emotional while speaking about what the moment meant and how much he wished his mother could have been there to see it.<\/p>\n

His mother was initially unable to attend<\/a> Cape Verde\u2019s opener because of visa issues, according to ESPN and The Associated Press. Days later, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries said she had been granted a visa to travel to the United States in time for Cape Verde\u2019s next match.<\/p>\n
