As the clock winds down, several were still striving to be among the 75,000 people in attendance for the highly anticipated group-stage matchup on the final day of Group C.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some, like Valerie Noel and Marie Darline Dorisca,\u00a0 spent half a day on Tuesday searching \u2014\u00a0 to no avail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe have been going everywhere possible, including FIFA-authorized vendors, but everyone says they have none, Noel, an Atlanta resident, told The Haitian Times.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>L-R: Friends Valerie Noel, Marie Darline Dorisca and their children pose for a picture while leaving the General Consulate of Haiti in Atlanta on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Photo by Fredner Cayemitte\/The Haitian Times <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She and her friend Dorisca, accompanied by their three children, even went to the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/haitianconsulateatlanta.org\/\">General Consulate of Haiti<\/a> in town for assistance. All they could get there were flags.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThey gave us flags, but we have no tickets to go to the game and support the team,\u201d Dorisca said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWatching the team play live in our town is a lifetime opportunity,\u201d she explained. \u201cWe don\u2019t want to miss it. We want to show all our support to the players because they make us proud as Haitians.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While Noel and Dorisca scanned the streets for tickets, others were mapping their way to the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mercedesbenzstadium.com\/\">Mercedes-Benz Stadium<\/a>, home of the Atlanta Falcons and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.atlutd.com\/\">Atlanta United FC<\/a>\u2013where Grenadier <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.atlutd.com\/roster\/\">Fafa Picault<\/a> plays, in the city\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.atlantadowntown.com\">Downtown area<\/a>. Photo by Fredner Cayemitte\/The Haitian Times<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nicolas and his five friends traveled by car, driving for about 12 hours from South Florida.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe could not miss the opportunity to be here and show the players that we are with them regardless of results,\u201d Shevenson Desravines, one of the Floridians, said. \u201cWe are going to witness history in Atlanta with Haiti\u2019s first victory in a World Cup.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Miami resident, Lesly Jean, agreed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI am confident the team will not go out without a win,\u201d Jean, a youth soccer coach, was convinced.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moroccans David Raja and Litvia Hadi, two ticket holders also checking out the stadium beforehand, shared the prediction.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI believe Haiti will win,\u201d Hadi told The Haitian Times.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe team is solid and has been playing well,\u201d Hadi said. \u201cI am very surprised they have not picked up any points yet.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t<span id=\"wordads-inline-marker\" style=\"display: none;\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h3 class=\"jp-relatedposts-headline\"><em>Related<\/em><\/h3><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Overview: Haitian fans packed downtown Atlanta ahead of Les Grenadiers\u2019 final World Cup group-stage match, with many traveling long distances and some scrambling for last-minute tickets.
