The premise sees the paralyzed jockey Johnny Joestar participating in the Steel Ball Run race in 1890 America, hoping that fellow racer Gyro Zeppeli\u2019s mysterious ability can help him regain mobility.\u00a0<\/span>The synopsis for 2nd STAGE reads:<\/span><\/p>\n A desert crossing spanning roughly 750 miles\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n The land that Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli must <\/span>challenge, is home to the area that is feared as the <\/span>\u201cDevil\u2019s Palm.\u201d As ominous incidents begin to unfold, <\/span>they are forced to realize that this race is far more than <\/span>a mere competition.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n The two press forward into the 2nd STAGE of the 9 <\/span>STAGEs, where countless hidden motives collide.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n STEEL BALL RUN Jojo\u2019s Bizarre<\/em>\u00a0Adventure<\/em>\u2018s 47-minute first episode premiered on March 19, with the timeline for future episodes\u2019 release being uncertain at the time. In April, Netflix said that \u201cWe are planning a split\u2011cour release across the entire run of episodes,\u201d with 2nd Stage<\/em> being the \u201cnext cour,\u201d and added that \u201cThis release schedule is part of our original plan and reflects the wishes of the production committee.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The anime is co-directed by Yasuhiro Kimura<\/strong>\u00a0(Golden Wind<\/em> co-director) and\u00a0Hideya Takahashi<\/strong>\u00a0(Golden Wind<\/em>\u00a0co-director,\u00a0Urusei Yatsura<\/em> remake director) at david production<\/strong>.
