\n\tSteve Lacy and SZA have unveiled their new collaborative single, \u201cIs It Cool?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe candid lyrics see Lacy confessing to his self-sabotaging habits as he sings, \u201cI just cheat every now and again\/That was hard for me to admit\/\u2019Cause I really want to commit.\u201d His intimate vocals weave into SZA\u2019s verse as she proposes, \u201cBeing vulnerable is exhausting, babe\/Can we get naked instead of talking, babe?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn August 2025, Lacy spoke with Rolling Stone<\/em> about his upcoming album, Oh Yeah?<\/em>, arriving July 17 via RCA Records. The follow-up to 2022\u2019s\u00a0Gemini Rights<\/em> was written, performed, and produced by Lacy, who focuses the new album on transparency and personal lyrics.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI feel safe enough and close enough to start talking about it now, and get the title out and just get the energy in the air,\u201d Lacy said of his upcoming album. \u201cI\u2019ve never worked where I kind of announce it while I\u2019m still working on it. I feel like rappers work until the last minute.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOh Yeah?<\/em> will arrive four years after the release of Lacy\u2019s Grammy-winning album\u00a0Gemini Rights<\/em>. He told Rolling Stone<\/em> he began work on this next album shortly after: \u201cI just kind of got in the studio right away.\u00a0 I\u2019m always making things. It\u2019s just what I do to hang out. I just make beats.\u201d<\/p>\n
