Iconic Events Releasing and <\/span>HIDIVE<\/span> have announced that the 1993 <\/span>Ninja Scroll <\/span>anime film will screen in North American theaters in its 4K remastered format this coming October. The limited theatrical release will take place on October 4, 2026, October 5, 2026, and October 7, 2026.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n A new 4K theatrical trailer for <\/span>Ninja Scroll<\/span> was also released.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n The <\/span>4K restoration<\/span> of <\/span>Ninja Scroll<\/span> was produced by AMC Global Media\u2019s Sentai label under the supervision of director <\/span>Yoshiaki Kawajiri. It<\/span> was previously screened for the first time earlier this February at the 76<\/span>th<\/span> Annual Berlinale international film festival. The digital restoration involved a 4K scan of the original 35mm negative.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n A re-release of the film <\/span>commemorating its 30th anniversary<\/span> was also screened by Iconic Events Releasing across several U.S. theaters in 2024. The anime film was first released in Japan on June 5, 1993.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Sentai Filmworks describes the main premise of <\/span>Ninja Scroll <\/span>as:\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n When Jubei saves a young ninja woman from the unthinkable, he assumes that\u2019s the end of it. To his surprise, it\u2019s only just the beginning. Together, the two investigate the mysterious deaths of an entire village which uncovers a conspiracy of demonic proportions!
