A storybook season for West Chester Baseball<\/a> didn\u2019t win a Championship.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nevertheless, \u200ait was a season to<\/a> savor.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two years after Misorachordia won the Division III Baseball Championship in 2024\u200a,\u200aWest Chester forced a Game 3 in the 2026 Division II Baseball Championship against reigning champions Tampa.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The win was the University of Tampa\u2019s third in a row\u200a\u2014\u200aand league-leading eleven in total. Wester Chester (50\u20139) had a truly impressive 2026 season, including an 11\u20132 win against Jefferson in the Bill Giles Championship<\/a> and a five-game sweep in the NCAA<\/a> Regionals.<\/p>\n

West Chester also boasted an initial three wins in the DII National Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Against reigning champions Tampa\u200a,\u200a the Golden Rams fell in Game 1 by a score of 7\u20134 in extra innings<\/a>. They rebounded in Game Two<\/a> by a final score of 12\u20133\u200a, only to fall on Saturday by a final score of 8\u20134.<\/p>\n

After being down 7\u20131 after six innings, \u200athe Golden Rams\u2019 rally began with a Donati leadoff home run.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

A Carter Rust RBI was as close as West Chester would come\u200a\u2014\u200aending the game with a fly-out in the 9th inning.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The final score was 8\u20134 Tampa.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was a heartbreaking loss for one of the finest seasons in West Chester Baseball Program history.<\/strong><\/p>\n
