A light novel series Illustrated by <strong>Huka Kazabana<\/strong> and published under the Kadokawa Books label began the same year. Yen Press describes the premise as:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Corporate slave Arihito Atobe\u2019s death in a freak bus accident marks the beginning of his new life as a kind of adventurer called a Seeker. Reborn into a fantasy world, he settles into a previously unknown job class called \u201crearguard,\u201d capable of providing his (all-female) party with critical attack, defense, and recovery support. And it comes with an added bonus: Simply being at the back of the party line increases his companions\u2019 fondness for him!
