It\u2019s about that time of year when I spotlight something that filmmaker Dustin Ferguson<\/a> is doing, which could be one of about 87 different things (if he\u2019s taking it easy). It\u2019s like the man never sleeps! He always has a project or two in the pipeline, no matter the time or apparent impossibility.<\/p>\n

And this year is absolutely no exception. For this season\u2019s peek through Ferguson\u2019s dossier, I\u2019m throwing a shoutout to his upcoming feature Midnight 3<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, which currently has an Indiegogo you can check out right here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re socially adjusted enough to not be in the know, let me enlighten you: the Midnight<\/em><\/strong><\/a> franchise follows a devil-worshipping cult sacrificing young women in an attempt to resurrect their dead mother. You know, mundane cult\/family bonding excursions. The first two films were directed by John Russo<\/a> of My Uncle John is a Zombie<\/em><\/strong><\/a> fame, with this being the first entry under Ferguson\u2019s helming.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Ferguson said:<\/h4>\n

\u201cThe original <\/em>Midnight<\/em><\/strong> by director John A. Russo is one of my all-time favorite films. It has served as inspiration to me for a number of my own films in the past, like <\/em>Wrong Side of the Tracks<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>Runaway Nightmare<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>Asylum of the Devil<\/em><\/a>, and <\/em>Don\u2019t Trick-or-Treat Alone!<\/em><\/a> I recently obtained the sequel rights from Mr. Russo, who will be serving as producer on this installment.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe funds raised will be used to cover the remaining licensing costs, actor\/crew pay, and secure the location.<\/em> We are only asking for a modest $5,000. That is the bare minimum we need to make this possible. Anything above that amount will ensure more elaborate special effects, props, and post-production.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cWhether it\u2019s just a \u201cSpecial Thanks\u201d or an actual role in the film, we got covered with many great perks below!<\/em> Whatever isn\u2019t raised will have to be funded out of pocket, resulting in the possibility of a \u201csmaller\u201d film. So every penny counts!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
