Audiences are having a satanic panic about the horror movie, The Baphomet Seance.<\/p>\n
In 1983 The Baphomet Seance film was released at the height of the\u201d Satanic Panic.\u201d The film claimed to be an instructional video of how to open a portal to talk with the dead. The film was quickly banned by various religious groups and community leaders who claimed the film opened a channel to speak with the devil himself.<\/p>\n
Since that time the film has been banned and suppressed from the public.<\/p>\n
Recently the film was purchased by an anonymous buyer and will be released to the public for the first time in over 40 years.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
There is a buzz in the horror community and here are some reactions:<\/p>\n
My stomach was in knots the whole time. I didn\u2019t even blink during the last ten minutes.<\/em><\/p>\n My hands were literally sweating. This movie isn\u2019t just scary\u2014it feels like it\u2019s gonna reach out and grab you.<\/em><\/p>\n I don\u2019t care what anyone says, those voices were NOT sound effects. They were too real. I\u2019m freaked out just typing this.<\/em><\/p>\n This is the first time I\u2019ve watched a horror movie and actually felt unsafe in my own house afterward. I had to FaceTime my friend until I fell asleep.<\/em><\/p>\n I made fun of my little sister for being scared of movies. Then I watched this and\u2026 yeah, I owe her an apology.<\/em><\/p>\n This is the kind of movie you dare your friends to watch and then feel bad about afterward. It\u2019s that intense.<\/em><\/p>\n I can\u2019t tell if it was the actors or the movie itself, but something about this felt\u2026 real. Like maybe it wasn\u2019t just acting.<\/em><\/p>\n The part where the voices got louder and the lights flickered? I almost threw my popcorn.<\/em><\/p>\n Whoever made this really did their research because it felt like we were watching an actual ritual. I\u2019m lowkey worried they summoned something for real.<\/em><\/p>\n The sound effects are next level. Every knock, every whisper\u2014ugh, I hate how much it got in my head.<\/em><\/p>\n I\u2019ve seen \u201cscary\u201d movies before but nothing like this. It\u2019s like it breaks the rules of what a horror movie should be.<\/em><\/p>\n Honestly feels like something I wasn\u2019t supposed to see.
