Reese already missed Friday night\u2019s game against Indiana because of a mandatory one-game suspension by the WNBA for picking up her eighth technical foul of the season.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Chicago Sky values the safety, respect, and well-being of every player. We are committed to accountability so our players can stay focused on playing basketball,\u201d the team said in a statement. \u201cThis matter has been handled and resolved internally, and we are moving forward as a team.\u201d<\/p>\n
The two-time All-Star voiced her frustrations with the franchise, telling the Chicago Tribune that she \u201cmight have to move in a different direction and do what\u2019s best for me\u201d if the team doesn\u2019t improve its outlook earlier. She walked back those comments after Wednesday\u2019s win over Connecticut. She had already apologized to the team. The Sky are 10-30.<\/p>\n
Reese had also spoke negatively about the Sky\u2019s situation at point guard, saying: Reese also expressed concern over the Sky\u2019s point guard situation, saying, \u201cWe can\u2019t rely on Courtney [Vandersloot] to come back [from an ACL tear] at the age that she\u2019s at. I know she\u2019ll be a great asset for us, but we can\u2019t rely on that. We need someone, probably a little younger with some experience, somebody who\u2019s been playing the game and is willing to compete for a championship and has done it before.\u201d<\/p>\n
