Not sure when it began but as far back as I can remember I enjoyed listening to speeches and debates outlining views for making America the best country it can be.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler wp-block-embed-embed-handler\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"ose-youtube ose-uid-d5733fa5a12bd6ac0e4af982e3570996 ose-embedpress-responsive\" style=\"width:600px; height:550px; max-height:550px; max-width:100%; display:inline-block;\" data-embed-type=\"Youtube\"><iframe allowFullScreen=\"true\" width=\"600\" height=\"550\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/T96reO9RTKM?feature=oembed&color=red&rel=0&controls=1&start=&end=&fs=0&iv_load_policy=0&autoplay=0&mute=0&modestbranding=0&cc_load_policy=1&playsinline=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; encrypted-media;accelerometer;autoplay;clipboard-write;gyroscope;picture-in-picture clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen referrerpolicy=\"origin\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first Black President\u2026that title speaks volumes but my personal connection to President Obama is unique far beyond just appreciating his historical achievements.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/design-providers.com\/rise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/17D7B246-AC7B-4237-8379-189FA5F24106.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/design-providers.com\/rise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/17D7B246-AC7B-4237-8379-189FA5F24106-202x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1503\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2012 Presidential race was a close one with many news outlets foreshadowing a Romney victory. Mitt Romney served the majority of his political career in Massachusetts and so it made sense that on the eve of the biggest night of his life he would spend it in middle of downtown Boston.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/design-providers.com\/rise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/80EDD537-DC42-401F-AA6C-1B5270727386.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/design-providers.com\/rise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/80EDD537-DC42-401F-AA6C-1B5270727386-300x200.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1504\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have always had an act for being at the right place at the right time to experience something truly incredible and far beyond the typical reach of a young city slick like myself. This evening was no different, as I was able to gain access into the biggest event of the year\u2026Election Night.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/design-providers.com\/rise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/5504F0ED-67EB-4B57-88CE-E17691DBC110.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/design-providers.com\/rise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/5504F0ED-67EB-4B57-88CE-E17691DBC110-300x201.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1505\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There was so much security everywhere and the size of the guns wrapped around the police officers chest gave a sickening feeling felt deep in the soul.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/design-providers.com\/rise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/74D9B025-004F-40E7-9C49-F33808150A04.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/design-providers.com\/rise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/74D9B025-004F-40E7-9C49-F33808150A04-241x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1506\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When I finally made it past all the bag checks, medal detectors and very up close and personal body frisks, I found myself entering a world I had only read about it or seen on tv. The opulence that surrounded me left me speechless, the sight of filthy rich old Bostonians casually walking by and laughing left me in a trance. These people were here as Republicans who loved Mitt Romney and as the richest people not perhaps just in the city but in all likelihood\u2026 the planet.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/design-providers.com\/rise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/352B5D15-F8CC-48BA-8F8F-8A806F181902.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/design-providers.com\/rise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/352B5D15-F8CC-48BA-8F8F-8A806F181902-242x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1507\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was one of the most riveting nights of my life, to be around so many wealthy 1% \u2018ers as a Democrat who loved #obama<br>It was eye opening to say the least.<br>Their clothes ? , their jewelry ? and all of the free expensive food ? was something straight out of a Forbes magazine !<br>And there I was among them- a rebel without a cause, a random invitee who was there all because I make indie movies in Boston and someone liked the film just enough to want to offer me the chance to witness history in the making.<br><a href=\"https:\/\/design-providers.com\/rise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/A7C795B2-846C-41CB-B228-6D0B62D3713E.jpeg\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019ve been around white people my entire life and have so many friends that are non black that I feel welcomed no matter what event and no matter how little diversity\u2026 but this night I\u2019ve never felt as much of an outsider then at that moment when news broke that Romney lost the election.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/design-providers.com\/rise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/6CD327AD-3E07-4181-A600-98191856C442.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/design-providers.com\/rise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/6CD327AD-3E07-4181-A600-98191856C442-300x169.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1515\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A shift was felt in the room that is difficult to describe, mascara was running down the cheeks of all the women dressed to the 9, the men in fancy tuxedos started drinking and shouting profanities at the screens showing Obama.
