The film follows Reema, who unexpectedly inherits an abandoned island resort. Hoping to uncover the truth behind her family’s mysterious past, she travels to the secluded property with a group of friends. Instead of finding answers, they discover a terrifying legacy filled with dark rituals, deadly secrets, and forces that refuse to stay buried.

One of the film’s standout features is its gorgeous setting. Mala was filmed entirely in Casey Key, Florida, using the area’s tropical coastline and secluded scenery to create an unsettling atmosphere that contrasts beauty with creeping dread.

The cast includes Indigo Sabharwal, Priya Deva, Gisele George, Nikhil Kamkolkar, Raw Leiba, Nirvan Patnaik, Adam Jordan, and Nehru Sabharwal, alongside an ensemble that helps bring the supernatural mystery to life.
