PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — The Ben Franklin Bridge, connecting Philadelphia and Camden, will be closed on Saturday to mark its 100th birthday.
The Delaware River Port Authority and the city of Philadelphia are planning a celebration for the anniversary.
The Philadelphia landmark will close to vehicular traffic for the free event.
People will be able to walk the bridge and enjoy food trucks, carnival rides, live music and more family-friendly activities.
There will also be a pop-up museum highlighting a century of the bridge’s legacy, with exhibits showcasing bridge artifacts and pieces from throughout its history.
