The Toaru Anbu no Item TV anime has received a main trailer revealing the show’s theme songs and October 9, 24:30 JST (effectively October 10, 00:30 JST) broadcast start date, as well as more footage of the Dark Side team Item in action.
The opening theme song is “Ghost Sequence” by East Of Eden, while the ending song is “Meltdowner” by Kisidakyoudan & the Akebosi rockets.
Toaru Anbu no Item is based on the light novel series spin-off of the Toaru franchise, with the focus being the titular four-person organization led by the fourth-ranked Level 5 esper Shizuri “Meltdowner” Mugino. The promotional material for the anime features a fifth addition to the team named Chobi Hanano, who is voiced by Hana Hishikawa.
Tatsuyuki Nagai (Anohana, Toradora!) who directed fellow spin-off A Certain Scientific Railgun, is helming the anime at J.C.STAFF. Shigeki Kimoto (DanMachi) is the character designer.
The cast members for the four classic members of ITEM are Ami Koshimizu as Shizuri Mugino, Maaya Uchida as Frenda Seivelun, Aya Suzaki as Riko Takitsubo, and Chinatsu Akasaki as Saiai Kinuhata.
