The official Twitter/X account of the I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince So I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability TV anime series announced that voice actor Taiten Kusunoki has been cast for its ongoing second season. Season two premiered in Japan on July 9, 2025 and will air for 12 episodes.
Kusunoki voices the Black Dragon, who is a powerful chimera that will appear in the second season’s 10th episode (22nd episode overall in the series) on September 10, 2025.

Jin Tamamura (A Sister’s All You Need series director) is directing the second season, with Naoki Tozuka (T.P. Sakura: Time Paladin Sakura) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter, Naru Nishikori (Shadowverse Flame in-between checker) as character designer and chief animation director, Yuichi Abe (Superior Defender Gundam Force director) as action director, and R.O.N as music composer.
The original light novel series is written by Kenkyo na Circle and illustrated by Meru. It was first published by Kodansha’s Ranobe Bunko on July 2, 2020 and has released 10 volumes as of July 2025. The series began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro on October 31, 2019.
A manga adaptation by Yosuke Kokuzawa was launched in June 2020. It is licensed for English release by Kodansha USA.
